Finance Tools Specialist NGO Job

Job Description

Designs and delivers face-to-face, virtual, and on-the-job training for finance system users across MSF operations. Acts as the primary functional focal point for finance tools such as UniField and WeFin, ensuring system configurations, master data, user access, and finance-related settings are maintained. Monitors system performance, data quality, and compliance with MSF standards while representing MSF Ubuntu in relevant platforms. Provides functional support to users, troubleshoots system and process-related issues, and coordinates resolution with IT and external support teams. Gathers business requirements and translates them into practical system solutions, supporting user acceptance testing, system releases, and new functionality implementation. Maps, documents, and improves finance processes and workflows, ensuring alignment between business processes, policies, controls, and system configurations. Supports the deployment and rollout of finance tools within Country Programs, coaches key users, assesses training needs, and develops learning plans to improve user competency. Develops and maintains procedures, guidelines, training materials, and user documentation, ensuring accurate records of deployments, training activities, and system changes. Collaborates closely with Finance, HR, Supply, IT, Country Programs, and intersection platform stakeholders to provide regular reporting and recommendations to the Head of Finance Operations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field; minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance systems administration, governance, or functional support; strong knowledge of finance tools such as UniField and WeFin; experience in system configuration, master data management, and user access control; proficiency in troubleshooting finance systems and process-related issues; ability to analyze root causes and coordinate resolution with IT and external teams; experience in functional support, solution design, and business requirements gathering; familiarity with process improvement, workflow management, and change management; strong communication and training skills; ability to develop procedures, guidelines, and training materials; experience in deployment, rollout, and capacity building for finance tools; proficiency in English (additional languages are an asset); willingness to travel at short notice during emergencies or critical incidents.
