Job Description

The Cosmetology Trainer will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training in cosmetology, hairdressing, and beauty therapy to students at Sabatia Technical & Vocational College. This role involves preparing and delivering lessons, assessing student performance, and ensuring adherence to TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) standards. The trainer will also develop practical training modules, supervise hands-on sessions, and mentor students to prepare them for industry certification and employment. Additionally, the trainer may collaborate with industry partners to align curriculum with current beauty and cosmetology trends, and participate in curriculum review meetings to ensure relevance and quality.

Requirements

Diploma in Cosmetology, Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy; Technical Teacher Education/TVET certification is an added advantage; At least 1 year of teaching or industry experience in cosmetology or related fields; Strong knowledge of current beauty and cosmetology techniques and trends; Excellent communication and presentation skills; Ability to develop and deliver engaging training sessions; Proficiency in both English and Swahili is preferred.
