General Mechanical Technician

We are a medium-sized workshop located in the Industrial Area of Nairobi seeking an all-rounded mechanical technician to support daily operations. The role involves assisting with supply and maintenance of pumps, fabrication works, machining services, and light construction works across various industries. The technician will be expected to perform hands-on mechanical tasks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and contribute to both preventive and corrective maintenance activities. The position requires flexibility to adapt to different tasks and industries, as well as a willingness to learn new skills and processes. The work environment includes a workshop setting with exposure to mechanical systems, fabrication tools, and potentially construction sites. Driving experience and a valid driver’s license may be required for site visits or material transport.

Mechanical competence and hands-on experience in workshop operations; basic electrical knowledge; ability to read technical drawings and schematics; proficiency in using hand tools and machinery; valid driving license (added advantage); willingness to work in a physically demanding environment; attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols; no formal education requirement stated but vocational training or apprenticeship in mechanical engineering is preferred.
