Financial Director - Group Shared Services Reporting (IFRS)

We are seeking a highly qualified Financial Director to lead the Group Shared Services Reporting function for a prominent organization based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting standards, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and managing the Group's shared services operations. Key responsibilities include: leading the implementation of IFRS accounting policies across the organization; managing the financial close process and ensuring accurate and timely reporting; overseeing the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS; providing strategic financial leadership to the Group Shared Services team; ensuring compliance with local and international regulatory requirements; and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial reporting. The role requires close collaboration with senior management, external auditors, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial insights and support informed decision-making. Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, reporting, and IFRS compliance; strong leadership and team management skills; excellent analytical and strategic planning abilities; proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; deep understanding of IFRS standards and regulatory compliance; experience in managing shared services functions; strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work in a multicultural and dynamic environment; fluency in English is essential; familiarity with Ethiopian business environment and regulatory framework is advantageous.
