Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance
Job Description
Operate heavy equipment including loaders, dozers, and excavators in a mining environment. Responsible for performing routine maintenance checks, ensuring equipment is in safe working condition, and adhering to all safety protocols. Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or issues to maintenance teams. Work closely with site supervisors to maintain production targets and operational efficiency. Perform pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure compliance with mining regulations and company standards.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a mining or construction environment; valid driver’s license and appropriate certifications (e.g., MSHA Part 46/48); strong mechanical aptitude; ability to work in a team and follow safety protocols; basic computer skills for equipment monitoring systems.
