Mason/ Tiler Grade 5

The Mason/Tiler Grade 5 is responsible for performing a wide range of masonry and tiling tasks across all university buildings. Key duties include installing and repairing burglar-proofing, laying and jointing paving slabs on pathways, constructing masonry walls, carrying out plastering and rendering works, repairing leaking roofs, and fixing floor and wall tiles. The role also involves performing any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor. This position requires a strong understanding of masonry techniques, familiarity with relevant tools and equipment, and the ability to work in a university environment with minimal supervision.

Government Trade Test Certificate Grade III in masonry/tiling from NITA or any other recognized institution; KCSE Certificate; profound knowledge and familiarity with relevant tools, masonry techniques, and equipment; at least three (3) years’ experience in a public sector or a University set up; those with NYS training will have an added advantage.
