Manager Credit Recovery

The Manager - Credit Recovery is responsible for monitoring accounts showing signs of concern to prevent deterioration into non-performing status and implementing effective recovery strategies for non-performing and written-off accounts. This role involves identifying accounts exceeding sanctioned limits, expired facilities, or with incomplete compliance requirements, and driving the achievement of recovery targets for non-performing loans (NPL) and written-off accounts. The position requires engaging customers through calls, meetings, and correspondence to agree on repayment plans, recommending settlements, rescheduling, or compromise solutions where appropriate, and preparing management reports, Board papers, and regulatory submissions. Additionally, the role ensures compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, proposes and supports accounts for write-offs as per regulatory or other applicable requirements, and documents accounts to be abandoned from the Special Asset Management (SAM) portfolio following exhaustive recovery or settlement processes. The Manager - Credit Recovery will coordinate internal and external audits, address audit findings, identify accounts requiring legal action, and liaise with legal teams. Representation of the bank in court proceedings, bank and court auctions, and management of External Debt Collectors (EDCs) are also key responsibilities.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit management, collections, or banking operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting. Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards is required.
