Job Description

The Nursing Officer Grade 8 will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, ensuring adherence to medical protocols, and maintaining accurate patient records. Duties include administering medications, monitoring patient progress, coordinating with doctors and other healthcare professionals, and educating patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. The role requires maintaining a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control standards, and participating in health campaigns and community outreach programs. The Nursing Officer will also assist in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures, and provide mentorship to junior nursing staff.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a recognized institution; Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya; Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience in a clinical setting; Proficiency in patient assessment and care planning; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work under pressure and in a team; Valid practicing license; Knowledge of medical software and record-keeping systems.
