Accountant
Job Description
The Accountant will be responsible for financial control, preparation of monthly and annual reports, tax and treasury matters for an agriculture company based in Kilifi. The role involves maintaining the general ledger, preparing and posting payroll journals, and maintaining the fixed asset register. The Accountant will also be tasked with maintaining supplier and customer ledgers, verifying stores issues notes, goods received notes, and updating posted inventory batches to the general ledger. Additionally, the role includes preparing, assisting, guiding, and supervising monthly payrolls, compiling and processing VAT, PAYE, NSSF, and SHIF/SHA returns, and preparing monthly management accounts and relevant reports. The Accountant will report to the Estate Accounts Manager and oversee other accounts staff.
Requirements
Relevant bachelor’s degree Must be a CPA (K) Must have Knowledge of Sage ERP Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet the laid down targets and reporting deadlines. Good communicator with Attention to detail
