Business Development Support Officer

Job Description

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Business Development Support Officer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will serve as the engine room of our bidding and proposal pipeline. Your primary responsibility will be to actively source tenders, RFPs, and RFQs daily from newspapers, e-procurement portals (IFMIS, PPIP), and corporate portals. You will compile, format, and package flawless, compliant bid responses that meet all statutory and technical requirements. Additionally, you will maintain our active bid calendar, manage deadlines, and coordinate inputs from our technical and finance teams. The role involves organizing and updating our bid library to ensure past submissions, templates, and regulatory documents are easily accessible. You will also prepare weekly bid status reports and document action items from team meetings. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, great communication skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat is essential.

Requirements

● Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, BBIT, Project Management, or a related field. ● Experience: 2–3 years of experience in bid administration, tender compilation, or business support, preferably within the ICT sector in Kenya. ● Knowledge: Good understanding of the Kenyan public procurement landscape, standard bidding documents, and digital portals. ● Precision: Exceptional attention to detail (missing a single page of a tender document bothers you), great communication skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. ● Tech Savvy: Highly proficient in MS Office Suite - Word (formatting complex documents), Excel (tracking schedules), PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat. ● Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
