General cashier Job details Organization: Ramada Resort Dar es Salaam Location: Tanzania Department: Finance Employment type: Full-time Reports to: Finance Manager Job Summary: The General Cashier is responsible for handling all cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. This role involves processing payments, managing cash registers, balancing daily cash drawers, and providing excellent customer service to guests. Key Responsibilities: - Process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately and efficiently. - Balance daily cash drawers and reconcile discrepancies. - Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions. - Provide friendly and professional customer service to guests. - Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues related to billing and payments. - Assist in training new cashiers and ensuring compliance with company policies. - Follow all safety and security procedures related to cash handling. - Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager. Qualifications and Skills: - Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. - Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred. - Strong numerical and mathematical skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency in basic computer applications. - Attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash transactions. - Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) or equivalent; Minimum of 1 year of experience in cash handling or customer service roles; Strong numerical and communication skills; Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, POS systems); Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays; Fluency in English and Swahili (verbal and written); Customer service orientation and problem-solving skills; Clean criminal record and professional appearance.
