Procurement Analyst

The Procurement Officer is responsible for delivering procurement services in line with international public procurement best practices, ensuring compliance with UNOPS procurement rules and regulations, and obtaining the best value for money. The incumbent analyzes and interprets relevant rules and regulations to provide solutions to procurement-related issues within UNOPS. The role requires maintaining a collaborative, quality-driven, client-focused, and results-oriented approach to procurement activities. Key responsibilities include executing procurement operations, managing procurement processes end-to-end, and utilizing e-procurement tools in line with organizational standards. The officer works closely with project managers to review procurement plans, design strategies incorporating sustainability considerations, and ensure alignment with project timelines and strategic objectives. The role also involves coordinating solicitation processes, evaluating submissions, negotiating contract conditions, and monitoring contractor performance for compliance with contractual terms.

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any discipline or related fields with 2 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree (or equivalent) in any discipline or related fields with 0 years of relevant experience; Experience of working in multicultural environments or UN system organizations in a developing country is desired; Skills in Contract Management, Market Analysis, Procurement, Regulations, and Risk Management; Experience in the use of collaboration and productivity tools (e.g., MS Office, G-Suite) and web-based management systems is required; French (Fluent); English (Intermediate); A globally or nationally recognized professional certificate or membership (e.g., CIPS) is desired.
