Villa & Airbnb Operations Manager at My Zanzibar — May 2026 Position: Villa & Airbnb Operations Manager Location: Nungwi & Kendwa, Zanzibar Accommodation provided — Full-time on-site Fluent English required ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a highly experienced and self-driven professional to oversee the full operations of two premium Airbnb villas located in Nungwi and Kendwa, Zanzibar. This is a hands-on management position requiring exceptional organisational skills, genuine hospitality instincts, and a solid track record in short-term rental or hotel operations. You will be the single point of contact for everything — from the first guest message online to the final farewell on checkout day. Villa & Airbnb Operations Manager at My Zanzibar KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage all guest communications via the Airbnb platform: pre-booking inquiries, reservation confirmations, pre-arrival coordination, and post-stay follow-ups. Organise and oversee guest transfers, airport pickups, and local logistics upon arrival. Welcome guests on-site, conduct property orientations, and ensure a smooth, memorable check-in experience. Handle all on-site guest requests, complaints, and service issues with professionalism and efficiency. Supervise and coordinate household staff (housekeepers, gardeners, security, etc.) across both properties. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation at all times. Monitor property conditions, coordinate repairs, and manage preventive maintenance schedules. Ensure the surrounding environment (gardens, outdoor areas, pool, etc.) is always in excellent condition. Manage supplies, inventories, and vendor relationships for both villas. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Demonstrated experience in Airbnb property management, villa operations, boutique hospitality, or a directly related field — this is non-negotiable. Fluent English, both written and spoken, for daily guest communication on international platforms. Strong interpersonal skills: warm, service-oriented, and genuinely attentive to guest satisfaction. Proven ability to manage staff, coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, and work autonomously. Good knowledge of the Zanzibar region is a significant advantage.
