Senior Accountant
Job Description
The Senior Accountant will manage liquidity and capital adequacy, coordinate internal and external financial audits, and ensure regulatory compliance in accordance with IFRS 9 and prudential regulatory reporting standards. The role involves overseeing asset-liability management (ALM), treasury operations, liquidity management, and tax management. The position requires close collaboration with senior management to maintain financial integrity and support the institution's strategic objectives. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, analyzing financial performance, and providing recommendations to optimize financial operations. The Senior Accountant will also play a key role in implementing and maintaining robust internal controls and risk management frameworks.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance; Minimum 4 years of professional experience in banking or microfinance institutions; At least 2 years of experience as a Head Office Accountant; Strong knowledge of IFRS 9 standards and prudential regulatory reporting; Proficiency in financial management, liquidity planning, and tax compliance; Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
