Project Accounts Officer II

The Project Accounts Officer II will be responsible for managing financial transactions related to research projects under the National Institute for Medical Research. Key duties include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and donor requirements. The role involves coordinating with project managers, principal investigators, and finance teams to facilitate smooth project operations. Additionally, the officer will prepare financial reports, reconcile accounts, and provide financial analysis to support decision-making processes within the institute.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting or financial management; proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar); strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to work under deadlines; familiarity with donor funding regulations and financial reporting standards; excellent communication skills in English and Swahili.
