Job Description
This internship role involves providing comprehensive nursing services within Murang’a County’s healthcare facilities. Primary responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions for patients, with a focus on outcomes. The role requires delivering healthcare services such as Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI), Immunization, Prevention of Mother-To-Child Transmission (PMTCT), Ante-Natal Care, and Delivery services. Additional duties include providing health education and counseling to patients, clients, and the community on identified health needs; referring patients appropriately; facilitating patient admissions and initiating discharge plans; maintaining accurate records of patients’ health conditions and care; ensuring a clean and safe clinical environment; and collecting and compiling health data for reporting purposes.
Requirements
Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing from a recognized institution; Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya; Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
