Project Manager: Transition to New EPM Solution

Job Description

The Project Manager will lead the transition from MSF International's current SAP BFC financial system to a new cloud-based Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solution. This critical transformation project involves selecting, implementing, and rolling out the new system to enhance financial data collection, consolidation, analysis, and reporting across MSF entities. The role requires managing the project plan, budget, and human resources to ensure successful delivery on time, within budget, and in line with requirements and best practices. Key responsibilities include refining project scope and goals in collaboration with stakeholders, overseeing data migration and integration activities, ensuring compliance with MSF IT requirements (cybersecurity, access, privacy), analyzing risks and devising mitigation actions, leading communications with the steering group and other stakeholders, and providing regular progress reports. The Project Manager will report to the International Finance Coordinator and later supervise a Business Analyst. This role is housed within the International Finance Team and works closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including finance directors, system users, the Steering Committee, IT function, functional partner, solution provider, implementation partner, and external auditors.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and contracts with external vendors; experience in managing large IT projects with a focus on financial systems or enterprise performance management solutions; proven track record in project planning, budget management, and resource allocation; strong understanding of project governance processes and stakeholder management; familiarity with generally accepted standards for large IT projects (processes, standards, documentation, user acceptance testing, data migration); experience in data migration and integration activities; knowledge of cybersecurity, access, and privacy requirements in IT projects; ability to analyze risks and devise mitigation actions; proficiency in project management and reporting tools (e.g., Asana, Jira); excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to supervise and coach team members; understanding of financial reporting and analysis processes; experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
