Job Description
The Maintenance Officer Grade 10 will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities within the university, ensuring that buildings, infrastructure, and equipment are kept in optimal working condition. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs. The officer will liaise with contractors and vendors for specialized services, conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Additionally, the role requires maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, preparing reports for management, and advising on cost-effective maintenance strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
Diploma in Building and Civil Engineering, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering; Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in maintenance; Proficiency in maintenance management software; Strong leadership and team management skills; Excellent problem-solving abilities; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; Valid driving license; Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
