• Teach and assess Pharmacognosy courses to undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students in the Pharmacy school and other health-related programs. • Supervise student laboratory sessions in phytochemical screening, extraction, isolation, and characterization of natural products. • Develop and update laboratory manuals, course materials, and digital content for pharmacognosy and related subjects. • Participate in curriculum development, review, and program accreditation activities. • Conduct and publish research in pharmacognosy, ethnopharmacology, or natural products chemistry. • Secure research grants and engage in collaborative research projects. • Mentor students in academic and research activities. • Participate in School and University committees, community engagement, and professional service. • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean. • A B. Pharmacy, M. Pharmacy in Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry (Natural Products), or a closely related field from a recognized/accredited university. • A PhD in Pharmacognosy or Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline, will be a distinct advantage. • At least three (3) years of university teaching experience in pharmacognosy or related areas. • Evidence of research and publications in peer-reviewed journals. • Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., Pharmacy and Poisons Board). • Candidates with a master’s degree must demonstrate an intention to pursue a PhD.
