Provision of Consultancy Service to support the Development of the National Circular Economy (CE) Framework for Tanzania

Job Description

The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is seeking a qualified consultant or consulting firm to support the development of Tanzania's National Circular Economy (CE) Framework. The selected consultant will be responsible for conducting comprehensive research, stakeholder consultations, and policy analysis to draft a robust and actionable framework. Key deliverables include an assessment of Tanzania's current economic landscape, identification of priority sectors for circular economy interventions, and the development of policy recommendations aligned with national and international best practices. The consultant will collaborate closely with government agencies, private sector stakeholders, and civil society organizations to ensure the framework is inclusive and feasible. The final output will be a well-structured framework document ready for validation and adoption by relevant authorities.

Requirements

Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Environmental Science, Economics, Sustainable Development, or a related field; minimum 10 years of professional experience in circular economy, sustainable development, or environmental policy; proven experience in developing national frameworks or strategies; strong analytical and research skills; excellent report writing and communication abilities; familiarity with Tanzanian policy landscape and international best practices in circular economy; experience working with government agencies or international organizations is an asset; proficiency in English (Swahili is an added advantage).
