General Manager – Starlink Business, Uganda

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary General Manager to lead our Starlink Business operations in Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, business development, and operational execution of Starlink services across the country. Key responsibilities include building and managing a high-performing team, driving market penetration and customer acquisition, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders including government agencies, partners, and customers. The role involves developing and implementing business plans to achieve revenue targets, optimizing service delivery, and ensuring customer satisfaction through innovative solutions. Additionally, the General Manager will monitor industry trends, analyze market opportunities, and recommend strategies to enhance competitiveness and growth in Uganda's rapidly evolving telecommunications sector.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA is a plus. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in telecommunications, business development, or management roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position. Proven track record in driving business growth, market expansion, and revenue generation in emerging markets. Strong understanding of Starlink technology, satellite internet services, and telecommunications regulations. Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities. Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and P&L responsibility. Experience working in Uganda or East Africa is highly desirable. Fluency in English; knowledge of Swahili or other local languages is an advantage.
