Vacant Positions at Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA)

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing procurement processes in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal Act, 2015. Key duties include preparing procurement plans, evaluating tenders, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations. The officer will liaise with various departments to identify procurement needs, conduct market research, and recommend cost-effective solutions. Additionally, the role involves preparing procurement reports, maintaining procurement records, and providing guidance to staff on procurement procedures. The position requires adherence to ethical standards and transparency in all procurement activities.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage. Minimum of 15 years’ progressive experience in senior management roles, with at least 5 years at the level of Deputy Director or equivalent; Professional certification in HR, Finance, or Administration (e.g., CIPD, CPA, ACCA) will be an added advantage. Demonstrated leadership in corporate governance, strategic planning, and change management; Strong financial acumen and budgetary control experience; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Proficiency in corporate governance frameworks and regulatory compliance.
