• Monitor and support the well-being and welfare of students, including residents and undergraduate students. • Serve as the focal point for student concerns and welfare-related matters. Coordinate and follow up on student stipends, allowances, and other welfare-related issues. • Conduct regular engagement and follow-up visits with students at teaching hospitals and clinical training sites. • Support students facing academic, professional, social, or personal challenges and facilitate access to appropriate support services. • Establish and coordinate the Student Representative Council (SRC) and support student leadership initiatives. • Organize orientation programs, wellness activities, and student engagement events. • Liaise with faculty, hospital administrators, and university departments on matters affecting student welfare. • Maintain records and prepare reports on student welfare, wellbeing, and engagement activities. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Registrar. • Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MBBS, MBChB, MD, or equivalent), Education, Psychology, Public Health, Social Work, Healthcare Management, or a related field. • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience. • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students and multiple stakeholders. • A medical doctor qualification is strongly preferred due to the nature of the role and the need to understand the realities of clinical training, residency education, and student experiences within teaching hospitals. • Experience in medical education, residency training programs, student affairs, academic administration, mentorship, or healthcare management.
