The Junior Occupational Therapist will conduct comprehensive evaluations of children’s motor development, sensory processing, and behavioral patterns to identify functional needs. Based on these assessments, the therapist will develop and implement individualized therapy plans aimed at improving motor coordination, sensory regulation, and cognitive development through targeted therapeutic activities. The role involves providing essential guidance and training to parents and caregivers to ensure continuity of therapy at home, including sharing progress updates and strategies to reinforce developmental milestones. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is a core responsibility, including participation in discussions on medical referrals and adaptive equipment to ensure integrated care. Accurate documentation of assessments, progress notes, and therapy outcomes is required, along with updating and uploading data of children with disabilities (CWDs) into the center’s database. The therapist will also support assistant rehabilitation workers by providing foundational knowledge and practical skills, while upholding organizational policies, ethical standards, and demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism throughout all interactions.
