Procurement Officer

The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods, materials, equipment, and services required for project operations. The role ensures procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations while achieving the best value in terms of cost, quality, and delivery. The Procurement Officer works closely with internal departments, suppliers, and logistics teams to support uninterrupted project execution. Responsible for the development of local procurement suppliers in Ethiopia; conducting local procurement including inquiry, organization of bid opening and evaluation, bid awarding, and contract signing; and ensuring contract performance and payment. The position requires experience working with both local and international suppliers and involves analytical, critical thinking, and negotiation skills.

Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, international trade, procurement management, or a related field; Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS or equivalent) is an advantage; 3 years and above of procurement experience, preferably in construction, oil & gas, LNG, energy, or infrastructure; Knowledge of procurement planning and contract administration is preferred; Analytical and critical thinking skills; Communication & Negotiation; Ability to multitask and prioritize work; Data Collection & Analysis; Experience working with both local and international suppliers
