Finance and Fundraising Lead

JA Uganda Alum is seeking a highly motivated Finance and Fundraising Lead to oversee the financial management and resource mobilization strategies of the organization. The role involves developing and implementing fundraising plans, managing donor relationships, and ensuring financial sustainability through diversified income streams. The successful candidate will lead the design of grant proposals, coordinate with finance teams to maintain transparent accounting practices, and report on financial performance to stakeholders. This position requires strategic thinking to align fundraising activities with organizational goals while adhering to ethical standards and compliance requirements. The role may involve travel to donor sites and community engagement events.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is a plus; Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance and fundraising, with at least 3 years in a leadership role; Proven track record of securing grants and donations from international donors; Strong knowledge of financial management systems and donor reporting requirements; Excellent communication and negotiation skills; Proficiency in grant writing and proposal development; Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and compliance with donor regulations; Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; Fluency in English is mandatory; Knowledge of French or other languages is an added advantage.
