Electrical Engineer
Job Description
World Vision Rwanda is seeking a highly motivated Wash Engineer to design, implement, and monitor water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) projects in rural and urban communities. The role involves conducting needs assessments, developing project proposals, overseeing construction of water systems (boreholes, piped systems, latrines), and ensuring compliance with national and international WASH standards. The Engineer will collaborate with local authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure sustainable WASH solutions. Field visits, training of community members, and reporting on project progress to donors and management are key responsibilities. Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English is required, with experience in community-based WASH programs preferred.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, or related field; minimum 3 years of experience in WASH project implementation; strong knowledge of water supply systems, sanitation technologies, and hygiene promotion; experience with community engagement and participatory approaches; proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software; valid driver’s license; ability to work in rural and remote areas; excellent communication and teamwork skills; fluency in English and Kinyarwanda.
