TV Agronomist

The TV Agronomist role at Shagasha Tea Company involves ensuring the delivery of high-quality agronomic services in tea plantations to increase crop production and improve quality standards. The position requires performing demonstrations on tea crop maintenance, training workers on fertilizer application methods, establishing and maintaining nurseries for planting materials, and sensitizing and recruiting tea pluckers. The agronomist will train and supervise pluckers on proper plucking techniques to ensure leaf quality, promote good agricultural practices (GAPs), and ensure the safe use of field equipment. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with authorities to resolve farmers' challenges, mobilizing resources, and disseminating company policies. The position also includes responsibilities such as eliminating hawking in assigned zones and complying with environmental, health, and safety regulations. The role reports to the Farm Manager and supervises Capitas.

Bachelor’s Degree (A0) in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field; Computer literacy is required; A valid motorcycle driving license (Category A) is an added advantage; Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in agronomy or plantation management
