Job Description
The Manager – Digital Innovation and Product Management will lead the creation, introduction, and enhancement of innovative digital products and solutions for Afreximbank’s clients. This role is pivotal in driving the evolution of the Bank’s services by leveraging cutting-edge technology, data analytics, and user experience design. The Manager will implement agile methodologies, manage product squads, and ensure that innovation efforts align with Afreximbank’s strategic goals while delivering measurable value to clients across Africa. Responsibilities include developing and executing the Bank’s Digital Innovation Strategy and roadmap, collaborating with business departments to identify and validate new digital products, leading cross-functional teams to manage product development and enhancements, and optimizing user and customer journeys to ensure seamless digital experiences. The role also involves conducting market research to assess the evolving landscape of digital financial services, leveraging data analytics for strategic decision-making, and fostering a culture of innovation within the Bank. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of digital banking in Africa by developing cutting-edge products that meet the evolving needs of clients.
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in digital product management, innovation, or related fields; experience in financial services or banking is highly desirable; proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and managing agile product squads; strong understanding of agile methodologies and product development processes; expertise in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles; ability to conduct detailed market research and leverage data analytics for strategic decision-making; excellent project management skills with the ability to manage programs of varied sizes; strong collaboration and mentorship abilities; minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant certifications in product management or innovation are a plus.
