Business Development Lead - Exports (M/F)

Africa Global Logistics (AGL) is seeking a dynamic Business Development Lead - Exports to drive growth in our export logistics services. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in the export market, building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, and expanding AGL's market share in international trade logistics. The role involves strategic planning, market analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery. The Business Development Lead will also be tasked with negotiating contracts, setting and achieving revenue targets, and representing AGL at industry events and trade shows. This position requires a proactive approach to business development, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of export logistics and international trade regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus. • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or export logistics, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role. • Proven track record in developing and executing export strategies, including market entry and expansion. • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and export documentation. • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. • Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is mandatory. Knowledge of French is a strong asset. • Experience working in the logistics or freight forwarding industry is highly desirable. • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools. • Willingness to travel within Uganda and internationally as required.
