The Night Nurse In Charge at Valley Hospital will be responsible for overseeing all nursing operations during night shifts, ensuring high standards of patient care, safety, and service excellence. This role involves leading a team of nurses, coordinating critical care activities, and making clinical decisions to address emergencies and patient needs. The incumbent will supervise staff, delegate tasks, and ensure adherence to hospital protocols, policies, and regulatory standards. Additionally, the position requires maintaining accurate records, reporting to senior management, and participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery. The role demands strong leadership, clinical expertise, and the ability to manage high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism and accountability.

Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse (KRCHN); Valid practising license from the Nursing Council of Kenya; Minimum of five (5) years’ nursing experience, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or leadership role in a busy hospital environment; Strong clinical leadership and decision-making ability; Excellent patient assessment and critical care coordination skills; Ability to lead and motivate nursing teams during high-pressure situations; Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams; High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability; Excellent organization, planning, and time management skills; Ability to manage emergencies and escalate issues appropriately; Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and service excellence.
