The role plays a vital part in financial control, bank reconciliations, and routine ledger accuracy. Cashbook & Ledger Maintenance: Record all daily cash, cheque, and electronic banking transactions accurately in the general ledger and finance software. Bank Reconciliation: Perform timely daily and monthly bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or unrecorded bank items. Cash Flow & Petty Cash Management: Monitor daily liquid balances, manage petty cash disbursements, and perform periodic cash audits across departments. Payment Processing & Verification: Verify payment vouchers, vendor invoices, and supporting financial documentation prior to authorizing funds disbursement. Financial Reporting: Compile cash flow schedules, banking reports, and transaction summaries for the Finance Manager and management audits.
