Conflict Transformation and Livelihood Project Assistant – Yumbe

The Conflict Transformation and Livelihood Project Assistant will provide technical support in the implementation of the Pads for All Project by strengthening the integration of conflict transformation approaches in HEKS/EPER interventions. Key responsibilities include community mobilization and coordination, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, as well as market access and linkages. The role involves close collaboration with community-based peace structures such as neighborhood assemblies, peace fora, Bidi Pads Ltd, women’s groups, schools, district authorities, refugee and host communities, and the private sector to ensure quality and timely project implementation in line with HEKS/EPER standards, policies, and donor requirements. The Assistant will provide technical guidance and oversight to Bidi Pads Ltd to ensure coherence and timely execution of project activities, design tailored Business Development Services (BDS) focusing on marketing, branding, quality assurance, Financial Literacy and Soft Skills (FLESS), and explore public-private partnerships to enhance sustainability and outreach. Additionally, the role includes strengthening institutional capacity of Bidi Pads Ltd through governance, strategic decision-making, business management, and marketing support, as well as developing digital marketing initiatives to improve visibility and competitiveness. The position also involves organizing conflict transformation and peacebuilding interventions, supporting training in conflict sensitivity and dispute resolution, generating conflict sensitivity updates, strengthening Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHM) activities, and building the capacity of local groups in production and enterprise development.

Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration, or another relevant field; Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in community development, humanitarian, or development programming; Experience implementing Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHM), livelihoods, women’s economic empowerment, or similar projects is an added advantage; Experience working with refugee and host communities; Experience working with NGOs or international development organizations; Strong community mobilization and facilitation skills; Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills; Good report writing and documentation skills; Knowledge of monitoring, data collection, and project reporting; Good planning, coordination, and organizational skills; Sound ICT skills, including Microsoft Office applications; High level of integrity, professionalism, teamwork, and accountability; Commitment to safeguarding and humanitarian principles; Fluency in English; Knowledge of local languages spoken in West Nile is an added advantage; Willingness to travel frequently within project locations.
