Registered Midwives

Join our professional healthcare team at Diani Beach Hospital as a Registered Midwife. This role involves providing comprehensive midwifery care to expectant mothers, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal services. You will be responsible for conducting normal deliveries, monitoring fetal well-being, providing immediate newborn care, and offering health education to mothers and families. The position requires strong clinical skills, compassionate patient interaction, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced maternity setting. You will collaborate closely with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and high-quality maternal and neonatal outcomes. The role may include shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, depending on the hospital's operational needs.

Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with a specialization in Midwifery; Valid Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) license; Minimum 3 years of experience as a midwife in a busy maternity setting; Minimum 1 year of post-internship clinical experience; Strong communication and teamwork skills; Ability to work in shifts and under pressure; Proficiency in basic midwifery procedures and emergency care; Knowledge of maternal and neonatal health protocols.
