IT Officer

The IT Officer will implement and improve IT systems by analyzing system requirements, addressing technical problems, and performing standard testing to ensure high performance and security. Primary responsibilities include providing help desk support to all users, maintaining protection services (anti-viruses and firewalls), and offering hardware and software support for program equipment, printers, computers, and laptops. The role involves examining and evaluating current systems, identifying system requirements, and documenting interfaces between new and legacy systems. The officer will collaborate with the IT team and developers to produce new systems while providing technical support to the Communication and Fundraising Department to optimize digital platforms, fundraising systems, and communication tools. Additional duties include validating changes by testing programs, training users on new operating systems, ensuring deadline and budget compliance, and staying updated with current technologies. The officer will also diagnose and resolve software issues remotely, manage data security, and ensure stable internet connectivity by coordinating with service providers.

Degree in Information Technology, computer science or related field; ability to analyze, troubleshoot, support and implement technical solutions at all levels; hands-on experience in server installations and configurations; hands-on experience with software development and documentation; solid knowledge of business information systems; past experience as a Functional Consultant or Technical Consultant; ability to explain technical details; provide solutions to problems related to computer hardware, software, internet, and data backup; ensure stable internet connectivity and coordinate with service providers for restoration; responsible for administering and maintaining data security.
