Accountant
Job Description
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Primary duties include managing bookkeeping, processing journal entries, performing bank reconciliations, and handling financial documentation. The role requires proficiency in Peachtree Accounting Software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word. The Accountant will collaborate with management to provide financial insights, support decision-making processes, and ensure the integrity of financial data. Additionally, the role involves preparing tax filings, managing payroll (if applicable), and assisting with audits. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for identifying discrepancies and ensuring financial accuracy. The position may also involve training or supervising junior staff in accounting procedures.
Requirements
• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance. • Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience. Required Skills: • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. • Proficiency in Peachtree Accounting Software. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. • Good understanding of bookkeeping, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial documentation. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Good organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail. • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
