We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Pastry Chef (Pizza and Grill) Location: Lekki phase 2, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Description Responsible for preparing pizza dough, pastries, and grilled items to set recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency, presentation, and hygiene across all baked and grilled products. Responsibilities Prepare pizza dough, bases, and toppings to recipe standards Bake and prepare pastries, bread, and related items Operate and manage grill station for grilled menu items Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation Monitor stock levels of dough, toppings, and grill ingredients Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of pastry/grill stations and equipment Follow food safety and sanitation regulations Manage portioning to control costs and minimize wastage Coordinate with kitchen team during peak service periods Support menu development for pizza, pastry, and grill items. Requirements Education: Secondary school certificate (minimum); Culinary/Pastry certificate or diploma is an advantage. Experience: 2–4 years' experience as a Pastry Chef, Pizza Chef, or Grill Cook in a similar setting. Skills: Pizza-making and pastry/baking techniques Grill handling and cooking skills Attention to detail (consistency, presentation) Time management under pressure Basic food costing and portion control knowledge Teamwork and communication. Other Requirements: Food safety/hygiene certification (e.g., HACCP) is a plus Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays Physical stamina (standing, heat exposure at grill/oven stations).
