Internal Auditor

Farsight Africa Group is seeking an Internal Auditor and Compliance Consultant to enhance operational efficiency by implementing a systematic and disciplined approach to risk management, control, and governance processes. The role involves conducting follow-up audits to monitor management interventions, identifying loopholes, and recommending risk aversion measures and cost-saving strategies. Key responsibilities include reviewing and ensuring compliance of statutory deductions and filings (PAYE, VAT, withholding tax, NHIF, NSSF, and corporate tax), reconciling tax accounts, and verifying timely remittances. The consultant will also review supplier payments for withholding tax compliance, advise on tax law changes, provide quarterly tax compliance reports, liaise with external auditors and the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), and train the internal finance team on tax compliance best practices. Additionally, the role involves determining internal audit scope and developing annual plans.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) or equivalent qualification; Minimum 5 years’ experience in tax compliance and financial audit, preferably with corporate or consulting firms; In-depth understanding of KRA tax laws and reporting systems (iTax); Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; High integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial information.
