Generalist Backend Developer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Generalist Backend Developer to join our dynamic team at Echowa Ltd. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems that support our core business operations. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of services and optimal system performance. Key responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and scalable code, debugging and troubleshooting issues, optimizing database performance, and implementing security best practices. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor junior developers. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; 3+ years of professional experience in backend development; Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js; Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture; Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB; Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and DevOps practices; Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes); Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal); Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
