English & Literature Teacher

The English & Literature Teacher will teach English and Literature across Key Stage 2 & 3 at Makini School, which follows the Cambridge Curriculum. The role involves actively encouraging and facilitating the formation of each student’s moral character, unique skills, capacities, and talents through continuous improvement to ensure quality education. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering a supportive learning environment. Additionally, the role requires a deep understanding of child protection and safeguarding principles to ensure the safety and well-being of all students. The teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the school’s educational standards and contribute to the overall development of students.

- At least five years demonstrable teaching experience in a recognized International School preferably one delivering Cambridge Assessment International Education. - Bachelor of Education degree with specialization in English & Literature Teacher from a recognized institution. - Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC). Skills: - Demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of current educational issues relating to the specialist subject areas. - Strong leadership skills. - Interpersonal skills. - Embrace team spirit. - Ability to work with a diverse student body. - Self-driven. - Be willing to inspire, challenge, motivate and empower students. - Deep understanding of child protection and safeguarding.
