Financial Director - Group Shared Services Reporting - IFRS - Gaborone, Botswana

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Group Shared Services and ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The Financial Director will lead a team of finance professionals, manage financial reporting processes, and provide strategic guidance to senior management. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing financial policies, overseeing budget preparation and execution, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and driving process improvements within the shared services function. The role requires close collaboration with regional and global finance teams to align financial strategies with organizational objectives. Additionally, the Financial Director will play a pivotal role in IFRS compliance, financial analysis, and stakeholder management across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably within a multinational or group environment; extensive knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards; proven leadership in managing finance teams and shared services operations; strong analytical and strategic planning skills; excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities; proficiency in ERP systems and financial software; experience in the banking, financial services, or corporate sector is advantageous.
