Senior Geologist - Resource Estimation, Reserves QA/QC, Data Analysis

Our client, a listed mineral development company focused on critical minerals, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geologist to take ownership of the company’s geology function across multiple African projects. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will be primarily remote and will focus on consolidating and analysing geological data, ensuring compliance with international reporting standards, and supporting resource and reserve estimation. The successful candidate will play a key role in both existing project delivery and new project evaluation, contributing to strategic decision-making at a corporate level. Responsibilities include developing and implementing geological work plans, schedules, and budgets; ensuring compliance with EHS standards; establishing and managing QAQC systems; overseeing geological data handling, processing, validation, and review; coordinating service providers; monitoring and supporting field teams remotely; supporting techno-economic modelling and project evaluation; preparing technical reports, presentations, maps, and data outputs; identifying and generating targets aligned with company growth strategy; and conducting technical due diligence for potential acquisitions.

Degree or Advanced Degree in Geology or Mineral Exploration; Minimum 6–10 years’ experience in mineral exploration and/or mining across multiple commodities; Strong experience in resource modelling and estimation; Proficiency in geological modelling and mining software (e.g. Leapfrog, Datamine, Surpac, Micromine); Experience with GIS software; Strong QAQC and data management experience; Familiarity with international reporting standards (JORC, NI 43-101, SAMREC or equivalent); Experience with techno-economic modelling and project evaluation; Exposure to metallurgy and/or mining engineering advantageous; Experience in mineral sands, gold, copper or similar commodities preferred.
