Head of Finance & Business Control

The Head of Finance & Business Control is responsible for ensuring financial discipline, cost control, governance integrity, and institutional sustainability across Beyond Logistics Ltd (BLL). This role oversees full financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management, including the development and maintenance of a cost per CBM model with regular tracking. The position drives cost discipline across all departments, ensures accurate billing, revenue recognition, and reconciliation, and monitors working capital (receivables, payables, cash cycles). Additionally, the role validates pricing for major deals to ensure margin integrity, provides client-level profitability analysis, and supports the Head of Commercial in pricing decisions and cost-to-serve modeling. The Head of Finance & Business Control leads tax planning strategy to optimize BLL’s tax position, ensures compliance with statutory obligations (VAT, PAYE, WHT, NSSF, etc.), and manages tax audits and regulatory interactions. The role also oversees the management of land titles, leases, and corporate records, maintains legal risk oversight, and ensures proper maintenance of BOD and strategic governance documentation. Furthermore, the position coordinates HR processes, manages the PeopleHum system, and provides oversight of the ERP system (Dynamics 365 Business Central) and other ICT infrastructure to ensure system reliability, user issue resolution, and data integrity. The role prepares monthly management accounts and reports, supports quarterly and annual audits, and provides financial insights to the MD and BOD for decision-making. The Head of Finance & Business Control enforces financial discipline, challenges cost and margin assumptions, and owns revenue generation and operational oversight.

Finance leadership role with 5+ years of experience preferred; experience in logistics, 3PL, or asset-heavy environments is an advantage; experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 or similar); strong financial reporting and budgeting skills; proficiency in cost control and working capital management; ability to provide client-level profitability analysis; tax planning and compliance expertise (VAT, PAYE, WHT, NSSF, etc.); experience managing tax audits and regulatory interactions; oversight of legal risks and corporate records; HR coordination and PeopleHum system management; ERP system (Dynamics 365 Business Central) oversight; data integrity and system reliability management; ability to provide financial insights for strategic decision-making.
