Responsibilities The successful candidates will be responsible for the following duties: Assist in carrying out maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of automotive equipment and ground support vehicles under the guidance of senior technicians and supervisors. Support the Fleet Department in performing preventive and corrective maintenance activities on engines, hydraulic systems, braking systems, transmission systems, and vehicle electrical systems. Operate workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and lifting devices safely and in accordance with approved procedures and instructions. Read and apply technical manuals, workshop documentation, and maintenance instructions to support day-to-day engineering activities. Ensure compliance with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), QHSE requirements, safety regulations, and risk control measures at all times. Participate in Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), safety briefings, and other operational improvement initiatives as directed by the Head of Fleet or supervisors. Promptly report equipment defects, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and operational incidents to supervisors. Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately and perform assigned duties professionally within a 24/7 operational environment. Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Fleet Department or Management. Education and experience Applicants should meet the following qualifications and experience requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Automotive Engineering from a recognized institution. Minimum GPA of 3.5. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Minimum of 1–2 years of field attachment, internship, or practical work experience in a relevant automotive engineering environment.
