Job Description
The WBG Pioneer ā SPARC for Conflict-Affected and Reconstruction Contexts Intern will support the implementation of the Scaling Pathways for Resilience in Conflict-Affected and Fragile Contexts (SPARC) initiative. The intern will assist in conducting research on conflict-sensitive development strategies, analyzing data on post-conflict reconstruction efforts, and contributing to the development of policy recommendations. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to assess the impact of World Bank programs in fragile and conflict-affected situations, preparing reports, and supporting knowledge-sharing activities. The intern will also participate in stakeholder consultations and contribute to the design of innovative solutions to address the root causes of fragility and conflict.
Requirements
Master's degree in international development, economics, political science, or a related field; strong analytical and research skills; experience with conflict analysis frameworks; proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methods; familiarity with post-conflict reconstruction and development frameworks; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work in multidisciplinary teams; proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of additional languages relevant to conflict-affected regions is an asset.
