Job Description
This role provides technical guidance in health strategies, focusing on health governance and policy development. The Senior Technical Officer will support the design of essential health services, strengthen health workforce capacity through targeted training and mentorship, and facilitate knowledge dissemination within health systems. Responsibilities include developing robust health information systems, analyzing epidemiological data to inform decision-making, and coordinating health operations to ensure efficient service delivery. Requirements
Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Public Health, Medicine, Epidemiology, or a related field; Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in health systems development, governance, or policy; Proven track record in designing and implementing health workforce capacity-building programs; Experience in developing and managing health information systems; Strong analytical skills with expertise in epidemiological data analysis; Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder health operations; Excellent communication skills for knowledge dissemination and stakeholder engagement; Familiarity with health sector frameworks (e.g., WHO health system building blocks); Experience working in low- and middle-income countries is highly desirable.
