Programme Associate (G-6), TA (364 days)

Job Description

You will bridge operational delivery by liaising regularly with multiple units—Programme, Operations, Finance, Supply—and with external partners (government ministries, NGOs, donors). Under the supervision and guidance of the Health Manager for HSS cluster of Health Section, you will provide specialized programme and administrative support to facilitate the development, implementation, and monitoring of UNICEF's programmes. The role involves substantial engagement in data analysis, budget tracking, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and compliance with organizational rules. You will exercise judgment, anticipate needs, and recommend actions that contribute to programme planning, implementation, and reporting results. Key functions include project management, data management and analysis, grant management, budget monitoring, digital innovation, communication, knowledge sharing, capacity building, event coordination, and surge support.

Requirements

Completion of secondary education is required; Minimum 6 years of administrative or clerical work experience is required; Project Management skills including creating project plans, objectives, and deliverables, tracking resources, and identifying risks; Collaboration skills including navigating organizational dynamics, adapting behavior, writing clear reports, active listening, and presenting ideas clearly; Problem Solving skills including analyzing data, identifying trends, evaluating information, summarizing findings, making time-sensitive decisions, and assessing solution impacts; Digital Dexterity including utilizing AI-powered tools, specialist business systems, and summarizing data for reports; Fluency in English is required; Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is desirable; Professional and/or university courses related to the field of work are highly desirable; Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings, and humanitarian contexts is desirable.
