The Senior Human Resource Officer will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of human resource functions within the Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS). This includes strategic HR planning, recruitment and selection, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and ERCS policies. The role involves managing a team of HR professionals, developing HR policies and procedures, and providing guidance to senior management on HR-related matters. The officer will also play a key role in fostering a positive organizational culture, promoting diversity and inclusion, and supporting the ERCS's mission of humanitarian service delivery. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with regional and zonal branches to ensure consistent HR practices across the organization.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree is an added advantage; Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in human resource management, with at least 3 years in a senior HR role; Strong knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws and HR best practices; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite; Experience in managing employee relations and conflict resolution; Ability to develop and implement HR policies and procedures; Experience in training and development; Strong organizational and leadership skills.
