Job Description
The Education Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless programme coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of UNICEF’s European Union Funded 'Last Mile Connectivity of Schools' and the Dutch Funded 'PROSPECTS' Integrated Projects. Under the guidance of the Chief of Education (P4), the specialist will lead climate-resilient education system-related technical assistance and implementation. Key responsibilities include representing UNICEF in donor/partnership negotiations, strategic programme design, project management, and collaboration with other UNICEF sections such as Innovation, Child Protection, WASH, and Social Policy. The role involves establishing coordination structures, conducting joint field visits, and monitoring progress to ensure quality delivery of results and maximize impact on children and young people.
Requirements
MBA/MSc/MA qualification; 5 years of relevant experience; strong programme planning and coordination skills; experience in project management, monitoring, and evaluation; ability to work collaboratively across multiple sections and partners; knowledge of climate-resilient education systems; proficiency in donor/partnership negotiations; excellent communication and reporting skills.
