Inventory & AP Junior Accountant

The Inventory & AP Junior Accountant (Senior Coordinator) supports the Inventory Senior Accountant in managing and improving One Acre Fund’s global inventory accounting processes. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate accounting, reconciliation, and compliance with accounting standards. The position involves assisting in process improvements, system automation, and strategic initiatives to optimize both the inventory and Accounts Payable sections. Key responsibilities include owning the monthly Inventory reconciliations process for all programs across One Acre Fund’s countries of operation, coordinating with the Global Supply Chain & Accounting team to resolve open items related to accounts payable, and supporting the monthly AP reconciliations process to ensure accurate and timely month-end books close. The role also involves actively participating in projects aimed at improving AP accounting and reporting accuracy, reducing the number of days required to close the books, and identifying process gaps within Inventory workflows to recommend practical, scalable solutions. Additionally, the Junior Accountant will coordinate with internal teams such as finance, supply chain, and logistics to ensure timely reporting and alignment on inventory-related transactions and accounting treatment.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related area; Knowledge of accounting principles with 2+ years of experience; Accurate data analysis skills; CPA, ACCA in progress (Intermediate level); Proficiency in ERP Systems (e.g., SAP); Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace with the ability to use complex formulas; People management and stakeholder management skills; Excellent communication skills; Attention to detail; Strong organization and time management skills.
